Jewell Heating Solutions Terms and Conditions Effective Date: [July 2025]

 

1. Definitions - "The Company" refers to Jewell Heating Solutions, operating as a sole trader or company providing plumbing and heating services. - "Client" refers to the individual or business requesting and receiving services from the Company. - "Services" refers to all work undertaken by the Company, including but not limited to plumbing repairs, installations, servicing, and heating system work.

 

2. Estimates and Quotations - All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. - Quotations are based on the information provided at the time of the visit or inquiry. - Any unforeseen work or complications may require a revised estimate. No additional work will be carried out without the Client's prior approval.

 

3. Bookings and Appointments - Appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. - The Company will make reasonable efforts to attend appointments on time, but is not liable for any delay due to circumstances beyond its control, such as traffic, adverse weather, or emergencies. - Clients must ensure access to the property and all relevant systems at the time of the appointment.

 

4. Prices and Payment - All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT, unless otherwise stated. - Payment is due upon completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in writing. - The Company accepts payment by cash, bank transfer, or other methods as agreed.

 

5. Cancellations - Clients may cancel or reschedule an appointment with at least 24 hours' notice. - Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a call-out fee. - The Company reserves the right to cancel any appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, an alternative appointment will be arranged.

 

6. Workmanship Guarantee - The Company offers a 1-year guarantee on all labour and workmanship, effective from the date of completion. - This guarantee applies only to work directly undertaken by the Company. - Any faults or issues arising from work carried out by third parties or by the Client themselves are not covered under this guarantee. - The guarantee does not cover materials or products supplied by the Client, nor does it cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or issues resulting from lack of maintenance. - Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment supplied by the Company will be honoured in accordance with the manufacturer's terms.

 

7. Liability and Limitations - The Company will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Services. - The Company is not liable for any damage to property where necessary precautions were not in place prior to works commencing, including access to pipes, fixtures, or appliances. - The Company will not be held responsible for any issues arising from existing or hidden system faults unrelated to the work performed.

 

8. Client Responsibilities - The Client must ensure clear and safe access to work areas and provide accurate information about their plumbing or heating systems. - The Client is responsible for securing any necessary permissions, including landlord or building approvals, prior to the commencement of work.

 

9. Parts and Materials - Parts and materials supplied by the Company are covered under the manufacturer's warranty. - If the Client provides their own parts or materials, the Company does not accept responsibility for their suitability or any resulting issues.

 

 10. Termination - The Company reserves the right to terminate or refuse service to any Client at its sole discretion. - Either party may terminate a project agreement in writing, with reasonable notice, where terms have been breached.

 

 11. Acceptance of Terms - By requesting and accepting the Services of Jewell Heating Solutions, the Client agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

 

12. Waste Materials and Disposal Charges - The Company will remove and dispose of waste materials resulting from the work where possible and practical. - Disposal of waste, including old parts, appliances, or packaging, may be subject to an additional charge, which will be clearly communicated in advance where applicable. - If the Client prefers to handle disposal themselves, this must be agreed prior to commencement of work. - Hazardous materials or items requiring specialist disposal (e.g., asbestos, contaminated tanks, or refrigerants) are not covered and must be handled by a licensed third party.
